A day rate is built from four components. When you ask us what is included in Labuan Bajo private driver price terms, this is the list we work from:

- Driver meals and accommodation on multi-day trips. On a single Labuan Bajo day tour, the driver handles his own lunch. On a multi-day overland run toward Ruteng, Bajawa, Kelimutu or Maumere, his simple accommodation and meals are a real cost, and it is quoted transparently as a per-night line rather than hidden in the vehicle price.
- Overtime beyond the 10-hour block. The block starts when the driver picks you up. Extra hours are charged at an hourly rate agreed before the trip — never invented at 10pm at your hotel door.
- Boat trips, meals, and personal expenses. Anything on the water is a separate product. So are your own meals, drinks, and tips.

The practical effect is straightforward: a couple pays the full day rate between two, while a family of six splits the identical rate six ways. If your group is on the edge of a vehicle’s capacity, ask us before booking — moving up one vehicle class for comfort usually costs less than the frustration of a cramped seven-hour day on Flores roads.
This is also why per-person prices you see on large booking platforms are hard to compare directly. A per-seat product is usually a shared departure with a fixed schedule. A private driver day is yours: you set the start time, you change the plan at lunch, you stay an extra 40 minutes at the viewpoint because the light is good.
How Does Pricing Work for Multi-Day Overland Flores?
Overland trips toward Ruteng, Wae Rebo, Bajawa, Kelimutu and Maumere are quoted as a per-day vehicle-and-driver rate multiplied by the number of days, plus the driver’s accommodation and meals per night, plus the return positioning day if the driver has to bring the car back to Labuan Bajo alone.
